One Last Word about Sleeping on the Sofa

Dangerdust

Until the saga was over, I was waiting to link to a piece I wrote five years ago for the Huffington Post about a very similar subject. Coincidentally, I was reporting back from a big birthday celebration for the same two friends as last weekend, with very different results.

I just read the HuffPo piece today and it truly resonated. I can just imagine how wonderful it felt for you to claim that room.
Last week over dinner with two of my dearest (married, but not to each other) friends, we discussed the possibility of a weekend at the Jersey Shore where we’d have access to a family member’s house. “It would be perfect for our group,” explained my friend, “because there are two bedrooms with full sized beds and a small third with a twin, and no door.” Oh. Just what I’ve always wanted! to sleep in a twin bed in a room without a door!
    Sigh.
