Wendy – your comment to the picture is just what makes eating cereal as a single person so liberating. Its not b/c we HAVE to..its that we WANT to. And other nights we WANT steak and martinis with friends, and maybe another night we WANT to go all out and cook a meal for ourselves that really takes some time and finesse.
Like a few people noted, I’m not a cereal person any time of day, but I love eating tuna out of the can…standing up in my kitchen. And any time of the day (including breakfast of course). Tonight however, its a long walk in a garden with a pseudo date, followed by a sushi dinner.
Ha, Wendy, you’re kind to ask. It’s actually a gentleman my mother set me up with, her friend’s son. The guy happens to live overseas and is town for a family member’s wedding. So it was a “pseudo” date in that the possibility of anything long term emerging is quite remote. However, we had a lovely evening and are going out again tonight before he leaves. He is the kind of guy I would like to continue seeing if he lived even on the same continent, but alas…its not in the cards this time.
I hope it was a gin martini … very difficult to get a good one over here … Cdn Anne in England
Sheepishly, I’ll admit I’m a vodka martini girl.

Pseudo date? Do tell.

I like those kinds of adventures. A lot less pressure.
