This past weekend, L.A. had the most unusual July weather. It rained. The stickiness evoked my East Coast childhood, and I think a lot of us transplants, now unused to such humidity were soaked in sweat and nostalgia. I was glad to have a pack of Haagen-Dazs ice cream bars in the freezer, and I happily indulged.

Oh yes…the humidity of the East Coast summers. I suspect that if I ever move away, I’ll miss it. I’ll try to remember that when I’m peeling my clothes off of me when I go out to grab lunch later today. 🙂
I did move away, Lola (and Wendy). And I DON’T miss the humidity!
Midwesterners complain about humidity, but they have no idea what real humidity, such as found in the southeast or the Mid-Atlantic, is like.
The image is making me very hungry!
Isn’t it amazing that the image is an oil painting? It looks so real. I really like this artist’s work.
Wow I didn’t realize it was a painting! Incredible work!
I know. Mouthwateringly realistic.
The summers in L.A. are very pleasant. I don’t miss the humidity, but it was kind of fun for a day or two.
