Stuck in holiday traffic, I was in the car a lot today and so happened to be listening to MLK tributes on the radio. Despite having heard the words before, I found myself weeping over his sacrifice and his inspiration and I felt a profound sadness that so much of King’s vision is still yet to be realized.

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve been teary all day. When I came home and turned on the basketball game there was, the incomparable, John Lewis and Bernice King on the pregame show. It was very emotional to hear players talking about discrimination and the importance of MLK.
So much to still rectify and so much struggle ahead.
Basketball and civil rights heroes. That’s a great combo.
Thank you for sharing. Incredibly moving photographs.
Thanks, Claire. It was hard to pick just one.
