You know I think I have cooked for that group before!
I have too. But I’ve grown stubborn about it.
This is one of my all time favorite Roz Chast cartoons. Anyone who reads The New Yorker will recognize her work. By the way, who out there is going to be alone this Thanksgiving? I am and I really don’t mind. It is a badly needed day off from work and a chance to do NOTHING! And a chance to actually let the sun get up before me, which I never get to do during the week.
I know a number of people who will be alone on Thanksgiving because they enjoy it. Sleep in, Paulette. Have a great day.
I sent this cartoon to a friend just this morning. Painfully close to the truth!
I am going to be taking the train to the suburbs to have dinner at a friend’s tomorrow, but I am slightly regretful that I won’t be spending it quietly at home with a book and an old movie and something delicious to eat.
