Time Management

Today, I spoke with one of my Career Coaching clients who has just returned home after taking a year off to travel. For almost 2 decades, he’d been working a backbreaking schedule, and is now consciously creating a life with more balance. Time is precious.

Wendy- would love to hear some of his insights/observations/lessons learned after his voyage… I’ve always wanted to do something like that.

Love it. And not surprised to hear it!

I know someone else – a couple – who both had high tech jobs, and the stress was wreaking total havoc on their bodies (and souls). They recently quit their jobs and are talking a year to tour the world. Last photos were from New Zealand.

So admire people who do this. I did some math with a retirement calculator and realized if I continue to make my salary and save as much as I do I could conceivably not have to rely on a regular salary in about 13 years. That motivated me to love my job 🙂

The people I’ve described who’ve left work all plan on earning money in the future. But they REALLY needed a break.
