Love it. I was just listening to a podcast about changing our thoughts and action patterns and how we have to keep trying again and again for the new habit to become THE habit.
Many! I have been pretty successful this new year in FINALLY establishing a work habit (first thing daily entry of my previous day “time sheet”). Working on making it a habit to decide what I’m eating ahead of time and then stick to it instead of just eating because its there or because of some emotion. That’s very much a try, try, try again situation.
It affects my performance reviews. But I have a LOT of thoughts and feelings about being valued according to how much time I spend on tasks, so I finally had to approach it as a habit issue in order to get it done.
Wendy: this is the podcast I listened to on January 1 that set my new habit in motion. https://www.npr.org/transcripts/787160734
I realized what was missing was an easy routine that I would be less likely to stray from and an immediate reward. So far in two months I think I’ve only missed maybe 2 days!

Is there a habit you’re trying to adopt?

As a Career Development Coach, I have to ask – what was the impetus to establish a new work habit?

It’s a fascinating approach. Eager to hear more about how it’s working.

Routines provide a great framework. Brava to you!
