Today in Southern California

There was a peaceful protest a few blocks from my house today. But now at nightfall, the police helicopters have been circling for hours. I’ve been fearful of going outside to walk the dog. And when I think about that, I realize how privileged I am that this fear is such a rare occurrence.

The helicopters in response to a peaceful protest. It’s too much. Same thing in my town. I was encouraged to see so many people out over the weekend, in my moderately sized southern town, and many young people. So I went out today (the third day so far) with a sign encouraging people to VOTE. It’s our only real hope at change.
