Before the Delta variant, I bought a cute pair of wedge sandals, imagining a more robust social life. Now I mostly look at them and sigh.

I attended a dinner party with a group of vaccinated friends this weekend. I’m hoping that I can host one or two this fall, but the Delta variant might be of concern. At my university, we’ve gone back to masking indoors. There was a brief respite for a while when vaccinated people could go unmasked inside. Sigh.
Big sigh!
I feel the same way about lipstick! I love a bold lip. Covid surges have me spending a lot less time and money at Sephora.
I’ve read that sales of lipstick really surged during the Depression, but I’m sure it was the reverse during our pandemic. My lip glosses are drying up in the drawer.
