As I head into Yom Kippur, the Jewish day of atonement, I’ll be holding this reflection in my heart from Kurt Vonnegut.
My late father taught me to always realize what you have and don’t worry about what you don’t have.
That’s the best advice. How lovely to have a Dad like that.
Oh this is so true. How often we fail to realize we’re happy. Instead we focus on when we aren’t happy. That overwhelms everything else. Wonder why!
It’s the human condition, and gratitude takes practice. I’m still working on it.
