Growing Pains

When I first went back to school to become a credentialed Coach, I remember the awkwardness of learning something new. I hadn’t been a student in a long time. And then, slowly along the way, I gained confidence and experience. Now, I’m back in training, this time to become a Mentor Coach for the institute where I got trained. It’s both humbling and inspiring. When was the last time you were a student?

Wow, Wendy, congratulations on that accomplishment! You are awesome!

I’m typically on the lecture side of a classroom, but I’m having one of my girlfriends become my gardening mentor this year. She is a treasure trove of gardening information and, while I can do a reasonable job with herbs, would like to grow some cherry tomatoes. She’s already taught me about building soil, so if and when it finally turns warmer and drier, I’m ready to turn my thumb green!

Enjoy your mentor and your garden! Cherry tomatoes are my absolute favorite. I saw some at the Farmer’s Market this past Sunday, though they’re not very sweet yet.
