I’m so grouchy these days. I need to start keeping a list like this.

You are in good company, Wendy! I’ve been crankier and more irritable than usual, I think because of the uncertainty. I’ve also been more anxious than normal, though I do have some coping mechanisms that have helped tremendously. That said, one of my best is cycling and the spring here has been horrendous in terms of cycling weather! Too cold, too rainy, too windy–I dislike cycling in the cold. And then when I would have a good day for it, I’ve got a bunch of WebEx orZoom meetings or some other deadline.

But, I think I need to take a look at the gifts this pandemic and work-from-home environment give me. Time to spend with my cat, less AM rushing around, the chance to see my magnolia bloom this year (the blossoms are so ephemeral and a poorly timed cold snap last year rendered the blooms nonexistent–it went from bare branches to slight buds to leaves without the intervening blooms.) This year, it looked phenomenally gorgeous! I don’t know if it’s the fact that so much seemed to be going to sh&t or if my being home and looking out the window throughout the day did it. I did see two people stop to take a picture of it!

Anyway, I like this list idea!

This is fantastic. I was feeling crabby and inspired by this post I started a list of what I HAVE done in two months working from home. Instantly lifted my mood from feeling like I’m wasting my time that quarantine has given me.
